In Pictures: Encore has a big presence on 400 South

The density that the Encore Apartments, on the 400 East block of 400 South, add to the 400 South corridor is palpable.  While the seven-story, 189-unit apartment project will lack active uses at the street level, the project’s limited setback from the sidewalk does add to the block’s growing urban feel.

Encore is a large development compared to surrounding buildings.  The development takes up half a block along 400 South, 500 East and Denver Street.

Exterior work has started on the west side of the project and all but the southeast corner is framed out.
