The transformation of West North Temple Street from a highway for cars to a transit corridor for people continues to take shape before our eyes.

New homes for rent, most at market-rate but many also subsidized at below market with LIHTC financing, will boost the city’s inventory significantly.

Let’s take a tour of projects under construction, starting at I-15 on the east and moving west.

entryNote and Squared

Squeezed in between I-15 and 800 West, entryNOTE at 735 W, and Squared at 767 W, are transforming the eastern end of the street. Just across from Red Iguana (original), entryNOTE is bringing 168 homes and Squared will supply 64 new studio apartments.

Alta Vue

On 800 West near 200 South, the Alta Vue apartments are rising along side the I-15/I-80 interchange.

The Crossing at 9th

And just a block to the west, also at 200 South, The Crossing at 9th is also rising off its podium.

Chicago Street Townhomes

At 22 N Chicago Street (940 West) the Chicago Street Townhomes are looking handsome.

Altitude Apartments

At 800 West and Emeril Avenue, the Altitude Apartments are taking shape at 27-47 North 800 West.

Art West townhomes

At Emeril and 900 West, the Art West townhomes are cutting a unique shape near the Folsom Trail.

Speaking of the Folsom Trail, here’s the mural that will be the centerpiece of Seven Canyons Trust unveiling of the City Creek Daylighting plan on October 21, 11-3, at 25 S 1000 W.

Back up at North Temple, let’s take a look at the progress of some other major projects.

The Lusso

At 1025 West North Temple, the Lusso is transforming the southwest corner of 1000 West and North Temple, across from the entrance to the Utah State Fairpark.

44 North Apartments

Also across from the State Fairpark, the 44 North Apartments will offer 35 units, nearly all studios.

200 North Apartments

Just to the north of Rancho Market on 900 West, the 397-unit 200 North project (former Walgreens site) is making its mark on the neighborhood.

Spark!

Across from the Rocky Mountain Power campus, at 1528 West North Temple, the mixed-use SPARK! project is taking shape on its podium.
