Working toward a legacy in Utah
AO’s collaborations in the Utah multi-family sector has already produced over 850 residential units, and its local partnerships are growing. It is working with The Boyer Company on the 217-unit Millcreek Common Apartments (rebranded as Millhaus), currently under construction in the east bench city’s newly-forming downtown.
“It’s been an absolute honor to work in the Utah region, collaborating closely with local cities, residents, and the development community,” remarked AO partner Ioanna Magiati.
“We’re inspired by the vision and momentum here, and proud to contribute to shaping the region’s growth. At AO, we’re excited to be part of this evolution – creating thoughtfully designed places where people can live, work, and play for generations to come,” she added.
Other AO residential designs that are in the pre-construction stage are Compass in Sandy, a 278-unit apartment project; the Elliott, a two-building, 345-unit mixed-use project in Salt Lake City’s Central 9th District, and District North, a 350-unit project planned for the heart of the city’s North Temple transit corridor, recently approved by the city’s planning commission.
On the booming retail front, AO’s relationship-focused, design-driven work includes new builds, shopping-center remodels, historic facade preservation, and landscape design for projects large and small.
Most noteworthy are the remodel of the bustling Foothill Village in Salt Lake City, architecture for the new El Cholo Restaurant in Sugar House, and the nearly one million square foot Mountain View Village in Riverton, developed by CenterCal.
