In Pictures: West Station Apartments to debut in June

The mild winter was good for the construction industry.   The West Station Apartments development is two months ahead of schedule, the project was originally expected to open in August, but an updated project sign promises a June opening.

The project  is completely framed-out and most of the exterior windows and doors have been installed.  The West Station development is the first North Temple TSA (Transit Station Area) project to be constructed west of Interstate-15 since the Airport TRAX line opened in 2013.  Even with the proximity to a TRAX station, the project will be a car-friendly, gated community according to the project’s website.

The West Station Apartments will include 145 residential units with 212 surface parking spaces.

The project is directly east of the Sutherland’s Lumber store, near the North Temple and Redwood Road intersection.  The developers plan to construct a pedestrian path to connecting residents to the retail and TRAX Station on North Temple.

The development is surrounded to the east and the south by a few acres of vacant land.  If West Station is a success, the adjacent parcels could be the next phase of development for the North Temple/Redwood Road corridor.
